BY SARAH LONDON is a certified-organic skincare brand, handcrafted in London, that champions up-front labelling and total transparency when it comes to ingredients.

As consumers we have become increasingly conscious about exactly what we’re applying to our skin; we want clarity, reassurance and results. This is why we are so pleased to be representing the BY SARAH LONDON brand and remain to be stunned by Sarah Murrell’s expert blend and balance of chosen oils. What inspired you to launch your own skincare brand?

It started with my sister’s recovery from cancer in 2012. While searching for gentle, natural and organic products, I found that it was impossible to tell what was in the products. Even many natural and organic ranges had long, cryptic ingredient lists and often confusing and misleading labelling.

I decided to blend by hand my own products from carefully-curated, organic and sustainably-sourced, plant-based ingredients. And the finest of my blends have become part of BY SARAH LONDON: all-natural and organic skincare that puts clarity first.

Talk us through your beauty routine?

I’ve found that hydration is the key to healthy-looking skin year-round. I’ve swapped my ice-cold cup of water and lemon to a warming cup of hot water and lemon each morning during these winter months. To keep my skin hydrated and nourished with essential vitamins, omegas and nutrients I use our Organic Facial Oil.

It’s a delicate blend of certified-organic, cold-pressed sweet almond, apricot, pumpkin seed, argan, evening primrose, and vitamin E to see my skin through this season.

Best piece of beauty advice you’ve been given?

Nature has provided us with everything we need. You just need to know where to look.

Why is organic and natural beauty so important to you, and what are the skincare benefits (immediate and long term)?

One key aspect is that organic skincare provides much richer nutrients for your skin than conventional products do as the quality of every ingredient grown is never compromised, so you’re giving your skin the very best it deserves.

Organic farming is also much kinder to the planet, and in buying organic, you are supporting the organic farming community who are working hard to protect our future generations by minimising our exposure to agricultural and industrial chemicals.

What other sustainable commitments does BY SARAH LONDON make?

We use amber glass bottles because they preserve the ingredients inside and ensure our beautiful botanical oils do not spoil. And all our packaging is recyclable or refillable, because we are committed to minimising our environmental footprint.

Where do you source your ingredients from?

All ingredients are carefully curated from ethical sources around the world, and use only the highest-quality, cold-pressed, certified-organic plant-based oils. Coldpressing preserves the ingredient quality and purity in a way that heat-treating never could, and these oils absorb into your skin far more easily.

Are your products suitable for all skin types?

Yes; dry, dehydrated or acne-prone because we only use all-natural, organic botanicals, balancing them in delicate, bespoke blends.

Where do you want the brand to be five years from now?

I would like to see By Sarah London in the hands of women and men around the world, harnessed with the knowledge that they truly understand what they’re putting on their skin and are benefiting from our beautiful, organic and sustainably-sourced skincare.

Sold? We are, but then we’ve already tried and tested the product range (Organic Facial Oil, Organic Body Oil and Organic Lip Balm) and can fully vouch for each on the basis that is really is of the utmost quality.
