Laced with Chambord, the iconic French liqueur, the 17th century location was transformed into ‘Château de Stylist’. Ten prize-winning readers, a personal team of mixologists, bloggers, authors and industry creatives we were given a masterclass in how to be a little more French and embrace that savoir faire lifestyle, and let’s just say we acclimatised very nicely.
After being greeted by the Stylist set – all in denim and Breton (tres cool) – the next two days we were treated to gourmet dinners at a dining table fit for a Disney Princess, life talks from author Audrey Diwan and blogger Freddie Harrel, an intro to Stylist’s Editorial team and picnics in the château grounds. Then there was the swimming pool complete with flamingo and swan inflatables, oh – and all the cocktails we could ask for. Overlooking the grand château, Push set up residence in the Guard’s Quarters where we had our own living room filled with vintage leather armchairs and mahogany-stained furniture, a hamper of French cult beauty products and one very unwelcome spider hiding in the shower.
From impromptu singalongs accompanied by Poppy Loves on piano, to French film-screenings in the candlelit château cinema, here’s a look at what we got up to at Château de Stylist…
Keep an eye out for the special Château de Stylist edition, released Wednesday 13th July.
