SUPER QUICK POST – BEFORE THE VOTES ARE COUNTED!
I guess this election party – hosted by those funsters at RUBBISH – did exactly what it said on the tin. On wondering into the Waffle House, just off Carnaby Street (yes it was held in a waffle house, where you could order Labour Waffles, Conservative Waffles etc…) I was stuck by how many people had actually turned up to this bizarre shindig.
In the corner you could get your nails painted in the political party colours, and the pots were decorated with knitted candidates (who later starred in a knitted finger puppet fashion show).
For the intellectual fashionistas among us, there was a political debate between a Conservative (pro fashion) and a Labour (against fashion). I have to say the Conservative, although insulting every poorly dressed person in the room, had a very good argument. No one wants to look at Gordon Brown every day in the news…
All in all it was a hilarious evening, topped off with a dance lesson in the Gay Gordon (tribute to the current PM).
