Just because you’re not off jet-setting across the ocean this summer, doesn’t mean you need to feel ‘Stuck & The City’. London is one of the most beautiful capitals to be in during the summer; just ask all the tourists that come here during this time of year! But of course the idea of being alone on the couch every weekend can be a terrifying, and because we LOVE to be active and being out on the town in the Push office, we’ve put together a list of the best activities to do in London next month …
Yes, you read that right – there’s a beach in Fulham! Whilst St Tropez or the Maldives may seem like a distant dream, the Fulham beach is nestled alongside the Thames. Entirely covered in white sand, the beach comes complete with cabanas, deck chairs and beach huts.
Kicking off on the 2nd of August, Brick Lane will be playing host to a month-long celebration of all things vegan including food, lifestyle products and even a fashion show taking place on the 16th. Fitness and wellness events will be running throughout the festival hosted by the likes of Fat Buddha Yoga and adidas Studio LDN.
Film4’s Summer Screen at Somerset House
Grab a blanket and head to Somerset House’s courtyard next month as the Film4 Summer Screen returns for another edition. With exciting movies including Black Panther, This is England, Clueless and The Piano, the Film4 Summer Screen is known as the biggest outdoor cinema in London. And of course, what better backdrop than Somerset House.
Notting Hill Carnival
It’s a classic, yes, so it deserves an honourable mention. The gorgeous costumes alone are a reason to go as well as listening to traditional reggae, rumba and zouk music and the street vendors selling traditional foods. The Grand Finale will be taking place on Monday 26th with a culmination of dancing, street performances and the highly anticipated Notting Hill Grand Finale Parade.
Happy Place Festival
A brand new festival curated by broadcaster and best-selling author Fearne Cotton will be coming to Chiswick House on the Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th August. With a star-studded line-up of guest speakers including comedian Russell Brand, fitness guru Joe Wick and personal trainer & Instagram personality Alice Liveing, the Happy Place Festival is themed around all things wellness. From the things that make us happy, to having a clear mind, body & soul and nourishing food, the event will have a number of different workshops to choose from hosted in teepees!
