Tori Porter has joined the Push PR Lifestyle team as Account Executive. We chatted with Tori about all things fitness, health and about the upcoming #PushCONNECT showcase!
What is your professional background and what do you want to bring to the table at the Push Lifestyle division?
I moved to London about a year and a half ago, and since then I have worked in travel/hotel PR, worked on events for Instagram and Facebook, and most recently I was at EMERGE working across their lifestyle brands. I’ve always been into fitness, health and wellness, but in the last six months my passion has grown hugely, as has my network in the fitness industry. I’m super excited to work across a range of fitness and wellness clients and help to expand the fitness client base at Push! It’s so great to be able to combine your personal interests with work!
What has been your favourite piece of coverage you’ve achieved so far?
At my old agency we worked with a beauty client who was quite a hard sell. I remember a Response Source came in from Stylist Magazine looking for beauty products with ingredients from Scotland. I went through the ingredients of all 15 serums and by reading a Geography paper, I found that Willow Bark could be found in the Scottish Highlands. The product was published in a huge feature in print!
What is your favourite workout/gym after a long day in the office?
It’s pretty known that I’m a big F45 Oxford Circus fan. The team there always put me in the best mood and it’s like one big family. The workouts focus around HIIT training, so the variety really gets you out of your own head for the 45 mins, which is a perfect way to clear your mind after a busy day or to burn off some steam.
Literally a basic t-shirt (black or white). You can tuck it into high-waisted trousers, wear under a dress or even throw over your sports bra when going to the gym. A neutral t-shirt means you can always be more adventurous with trousers/skirts.
Any healthy tips you live by?
Where do I start?! Sleep wise, no coffee after 12pm and put your phone on the other side of the room from your bed. I take a ginger shot if I feel a cold coming on. I carry a water bottle ALWAYS because drinking plenty of water keeps my skin really clear and also stops me getting too tired. I also try to schedule in some ‘me-time’ like I would a meeting as it’s so easy to overwhelm yourself and say yes to everything in London.
What you are most looking forward to for your very first #PushCONNECT?
It’s great to be thrown in at an exciting and busy time as it’ll be a great opportunity to really understand all the brands, meet the clients, media and connect with the team! What better way to see what Push is really about!?
