Beauty buys for that last minute holiday you’ve just booked

Summer ain’t over.

If, like some of the Push team, you’ve saved your annual leave for a late getaway you’ll still be thinking about an imminent hit of sun, sea and sleep.

Georgia Randrup, Senior Beauty Account Executive, is about to jet-set so we tapped her up (she knows hair and beauty, really knows) for some tips on the best products to pack.

Get these down. Get the glow.

Hair

Less is more, always. Unless you’re talking about curls, in which case the bigger the better. I don’t pack any styling tools because I want to give my naturally curly hair a break when I’m on holiday so I’ll go for great base products to prep pre-beach.

Kerastase Elixir Ultime was first given to me by Charlie Chan (Anna Wintour’s go-to stylist for over 30 years) who told me to, and I quote, “use this product every day for the rest of my life”. After a day at the beach I apply it through the mid lengths and ends of my hair; the texture is lovely and it smells amazing.

KMS 2-in-1 Cleansing Conditioner; this 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner literally revolutionised my hair washing routine. It keeps my curls secure, structured and, dare I say it, supple. It’s also a go-to product of Sam Burnett’s, Founder of Hare & Bone, KMS Style Ambassador and Push client, so obviously I fully trust his recommendation.

Maria Nila Head and Hair Heal Masque;  did you know your hair can get burnt in the sun? True story. To keep my hair protected whilst tanning I load up on this super nourishing masque containing SPF and aloe vera. It takes care of my sensitive scalp and keeping my ends moisturised.

Skin

Estee Lauder SPF; I grew up in Australia so have spent most of my life in the sun – I know exactly how important sun protection is. This lightweight nourishing formula provides incredible protection and has a light tint so you don’t feel completely naked!

Keihls Moisturiser; I suffer quite badly from psoriasis so my skin is prone to redness and dryness. Not only does my skin literally soak up this moisturiser it also helps to even out redness and pigmentation. It’s super gentle and breathable which is ideal.

Nails

Le Mini Macaron; I refuse to show my hands and feet without a decent mani/pedi when I’m on holiday but I always seem to struggle fitting in that last minute appointment. This all changed when I discovered Le Mini Macaron. Think on-the-go gel nails with an LED lamp in the shape of a mini macaron that you can do yourself… at your desk!

Make-up

Laura Mercier Radiance Primer; What I love about this product is the way it glides over my skin, creating a luminous base to work with. It’s long-lasting so it will hold my make-up in place, even on those sticky, balmy nights.

NARS Bronzer Palettel; this was a recent purchase, and wow was it worth the spend. This dual purpose palette combines everything I need to get that glow; a highlighter, blush, bronzer and shimmer. It’s perfect for darkening light foundation as your tan develops throughout your holiday.

3INA Waterproof Mascara: I know it’s not a holiday essential but I’m all for a bit of mascara on the beach, providing it doesn’t run down my face. I have surprisingly long eyelashes and this mascara has a comb like wand that separates and creates a natural finish.
