Walking in Rockport
Since Great Britain won the Olympic bid back in 2005 (no, we can’t believe it’s been that long either!), one thought has remained dominant in the minds of Londoners the city over – in the words of Michael McIntyre, “The traffic’s going to be a nightmare!” Even our very own Mayor has taken to various tannoys across the country to warn us that all modes of public transport are going to be exceptionally busy.
Here at Push PR, we love to rise to a challenge and turn a negative into a positive; while the rest of London was stuck in traffic or squeezed tight into a tube carriage, we decided that we would walk to work wearing the perfect shoe for the job – the Rockport truWALK zero.
Drawing on Rockport’s rich and authentic heritage in designing flexible and lightweight shoes, truWALK zero takes cues from performance technologies with:
- A unique sole, which incorporates flex grooves that boast incomparable flexibility.
- truWALK Architecture, a proprietary technology that provides a natural full range of foot motion, from shock absorption at heel strike to forefoot flexibility during push off, courtesy of adidas adiPRENE cushioning technology.
- Uppers consisting of a synthetic mesh that wicks away moisture to keep feet dry, and a padded collar and tongue to help prevent blisters and lace bruising.
- An EVA outsole that reduces leg and foot fatigue to guarantee all day comfort.
Sounds good, doesn’t it? Well, it turns out they just don’t sound great – they feel great too! It’s the end of our first week now, and we can all honestly say that the shoes are a joy to walk in. They’re just so light and comfortable – perfect for the hard and uncertain terrains that London has to offer. Here are a few snaps – and some video – of us in action:
